My Background
I live and taught in Northamptonshire after graduating in Education in 1999 and obtaining a practitioner diploma in Psychology and Hypnotherapy.
I was a teacher for 15 years, having been the Head of Psychology in one of the top performing Independent schools in the country. I also have a successful private practice as a Psychotherapist and Hypnotherapist, providing real practical experience of the theories taught as part of Psychology courses.
Specialist Subject Knowledge
My particular expertise is developing student examination techniques at both GCSE and A'level. My experience regarding this can make a huge difference in student attainment.
Cognitive and Psychodynamic approaches to Psychology are my specialist areas, and I teach a range of ways to analyse the research methods psychologists use. I can help with revision techniques, developing essay skills, and research analysis.

Clear tutee goals are identified and the student is supported as they
move steadily towards achieving them.
There is always a focus on developing extended writing skills and research methods analysis. Close attention is given to the specific demands of the examination the student will eventually encounter.
